How to play

Pokémon Hearth is a cosy vanilla-ish adventure made by PurrfectDoodle with an ancient-Japan-inspired setting. You explore the Toku region and save it from a mysterious spreading decay, traveling through forests, oceans, mountains and volcanos! This guide will walk you through everything you need to get started.

2. Upload your ROM

3. Patch the ROM
   Click the “Patch” button

4. Download the patched ROM
   Save the patched ROM file when complete

5. Rename the file
   Change the file extension from .txt to .gba

Manual Patch

1. Download the Patch
   Click “Download Patch” on the online patcher

2. Get Your ROM
   Ensure you have a clean copy of Pokémon Emerald (USA) v1.0

3. Open a Patching Tool
   Use Rom Patcher JS (web-based) or any compatible patching tool

4. Apply the Patch

   • Select your ROM file as the “ROM file”
   • Select the downloaded .bps file as the “Patch file”
   • Click “Apply patch”

5. Download the Patched ROM
   Save the output file (rename to .gba if needed)

You can now play Pokémon Hearth on your favorite emulator!

Caution

MyBoy, Visual Boy Advance, and Delta emulators are old and unreliable. While these are popular choices, they may cause crashes with Hearth.

1. Checksum Mismatch – Ensure you’re using a clean ROM of Pokémon Emerald (USA) v1.0
2. Save Issues – Make sure you’re using a compatible emulator
